In Part 1, we introduced the concept of energetic intrusions and a categorization based on whether they were detrimental to you and whether you wanted them around or not. In Part 2, we talked about what can cause energetic intrusions.
In Part 3, we discuss what effects they can have on you.
Energetic intrusions can affect people in many ways and generally all detrimental in one way or another.
There can be energy inflows or outflows. An outflow sucks energy away from you which isn’t a great thing. This weakens you, leading to less energy for your daily needs, makes you overly tired, and drains you of vitality. It will affect your ability to recover, be resilient, and heal from injury and disease.
An inflow might seem beneficial, but often it comes tainted with baggage. Even though energy comes into you, it often affects your behavior and may not be positive energy that flows into you. An example is when a parent, whose fear of their child’s future and success, will attach to them and send them this energy, causing the child to do things according to the fearful wishes of their parent, and not things that align to their true selves. Although well meaning from a parent who only wants the best for their child, it inevitably has consequences beyond the narrow confines of whether the job studies in school and gets a job. The child can exhibit things like resentment for their parents, non-alignment with what they want to do in life, inability to make decisions for themselves, and always needing their parents’ approval in every little decision.
Not all intrusions have in or outflows. Their presence can also just mess with the existing energy and interfere with the proper functioning of the human. Energy is sapped, personality changes. Negative emotions are heightened. Reactivity rises. Thoughts and beliefs all shift and become aligned with things like fear, doubt, shame, and the like.
Without a doubt, energetic intrusions of all types should be removed whenever possible, and avoided if you can. In subsequent posts, I will discuss concepts of guardianship practices that can help keep intrusions from attaching, and other aspects to strengthen one against intrusions.
Removing them yourself is another matter. The best way continues to seek out a practitioner to help you address intrusions. Training to treat yourself is always possible but it can be a long path to doing that effectively.
In Part 4, we discuss some of the ways one gets energetic intrusions.
